INGREDIENTS:
- ½ pound of thinly sliced beef:
- 1 Egg
- ½ onion sliced
- 1 cup Japanese Short-grain Rice
- Sauce
- 1 tbsp Cooking Sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Mentsuyu
- 1/4 cup Dashi powder Garnish
- 2 tbsp Pickled Ginger
- 1/4 green onion thinly sliced Japanese 7-Spice Powder - Shichimi
PROCEDURE:
1. Boil an egg for 6 minutes, then place it in cold water.
2. Slice white and green onions. Cook white onions in a pan for 1 minute over medium heat.
3. Add sauce liquids, sugar, and beef to the pan and bring to a simmer.
4. Cook until beef is cooked through, scooping off any scum.
5. Spoon beef and onions over rice, top with sauce and egg, and garnish with ginger, green onions, and shichimi.
